SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert P. "Bob" Lammert of Edwardsville, who passed away on April 29, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Bob Lammert was born in St. Louis to Harry and Anna (Beutil) Lammert on December 15, 1931; he married Shirley Wickman; and

WHEREAS, Bob Lammert served as the founder and former director of Labour of Love, which provided means of hearing to those in need in northern Mexico; and

WHEREAS, Bob Lammert was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, where he founded the church's branch of the St. Vincent DePaul Society; he was also a member of the Edwardsville Knights of Columbus Council 1143, and the 4th Degree Assembly 0225; and

WHEREAS, Bob Lammert was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Marjorie Berg, Kathryn Berg, Edward Lammert, Harry Lammert, and Harold Lammert; and

WHEREAS, Bob Lammert is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, Lori Lammert, Chris (Vicki) Lammert, Leslie (Jefferey) Taylor, and Leigh Ann (Rob) Parker; and his grandchildren, Leslie M. Taylor, Andrew Taylor, Madison Lammert, and Alayna Lammert; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert P. "Bob" Lammert and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Lammert as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
