SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George F. Szostak of Wadsworth, who
4passed away on March 2, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Szostak was born in Waukegan to Frank and
6Mary (Wrona) Szostak on September 21, 1931; he served in the
7United States Navy and married Nancy Guy; he married Eva Stuck
8in 1979; and
 
9    WHEREAS, George Szostak. along with his wife, Eva, owned
10and operated The Gurnee Country Store and Homestyle Laundromat
11until 1997; and
 
12    WHEREAS, George Szostak was a long standing member of the
13Church of St. Patrick in Wadsworth; and
 
14    WHEREAS, George Szostak was preceded in death by his
15parents; his sons, Tom and Terry; his brothers, Larry, Ed, Ray,
16and Carl; his first wife, Nancy; and his second wife, Eva; and
 
17    WHEREAS, George Szostak is survived by his son, William
18(Debbie) Szostak; his stepsons, Richard and Ronald (Sandy)
19Stuck; his sister, Jean Belski; his sister-in-law and
20brother-in-law, Jim and Virginia Kutzler; his grandchildren,

1Brandi (Ed) Myslewiec, Shari (Brian) Green, Johnny (Katie)
2Szostak, Shawn (Sarah) Toso, Reid Stuck, and Rien Stuck; his
3great-grandchildren, Tommy, Easton, Gavin, and Calen; and
4numerous other family members; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7George F. Szostak, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of George Szostak as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
