SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Henry Penning Beiser of Alton, who passed away on April 8, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Henry Beiser was born in Alton to David and Margaret (Penning) Beiser on August 20, 1931; he graduated from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa in 1953; he then served in the United States Army; he married Suzanne Chappel in Alton on May 18, 1957; and

WHEREAS, Henry Beiser retired from the Granite School District as a counselor and teacher after 32 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Henry Beiser was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton and the Alton Knights of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, Henry Beiser was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, David and Joseph Beiser; and

WHEREAS, Henry Beiser is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his sons, Mark Beiser, Christopher (Mary) Beiser, and Steven Beiser; his grandchildren, Benjamin Beiser, Nicholas Beiser, Andrew Beiser, Ashley (Zachary) Righter, Elizabeth Beiser, Megan Beiser, and Brian Beiser; and his great-grandchild, Willow Beiser; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Henry Penning Beiser and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Henry Beiser as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
