SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Larry Keith Longman of East Alton, who passed away on March 6, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Larry Longman was born in Alton to Leland and Verna (Newton) Longman on January 1, 1939; he graduated from Roxana High School in 1957; he was a veteran of the United States Army; he married Kay Fiegenbaum on December 15, 1962; and

WHEREAS, Larry Longman worked as an electrician at Laclede Steel until his retirement in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Larry Longman enjoyed the simple things in life, especially his family and his dogs; he was an avid fan of the Roxana Shells; and

WHEREAS, Larry Longman was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenneth Longman; and his sister, Shirley Brooks Gavlick; and

WHEREAS, Larry Longman is survived by his wife, Kay; his daughters, Stacie Jane (Greg) Garland, Kimberly Kay (Mike) Chappell, and Kristi Lynn (Tom) Skundrich; his grandchildren, Brittany Kay Osbourne, Ryan Michael Chappell, Trey Mathew Garland, and Jordan Rose Skundrich; and his great-grandchildren, Leighton, Landri, and Langston Oxbourne; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Larry Keith Longman and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Larry Longman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
