SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lorin E. Riddle of Clinton, who passed away on February 25, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle was born in Clinton to Charles Isam and Goldie Mae (Page) Riddle on March 16, 1929; he married Rita Rosalie Brennan in Clinton on November 1, 1949; and

WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle was a lifelong resident of Creek Township and farmed for many years in DeWitt County; and

WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle was a mentor for students involved in farming internships at Parkland College; his memberships included: assistant beef superintendent for the Illinois State Fair, Illinois Soybean Association booster, and the American Angus Association; he was past member of the Weldon/Lane Co-op. and was involved with the Weldon 4-H Club for over 20 years; he was a proud grandpa and great-grandpa; and

WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; his parents; four brothers; and two sisters; and

WHEREAS, Lorin Riddle is survived by his children, Nan (Michael) Crang, Chris (Nancy) Riddle, Craig (Madelyn) Riddle, Lindon (Rebecca) Riddle, and Camill (Brian) Tedrick; his grandchildren, Adam (Karen) Crang, Kristin Riddle, Brian (Elizabeth) Riddle, Lorin J. (Kaye) Riddle, Arnall Riddle, Elsie (Brandon) Hedgspeth, and Ashton Tedrick; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Louise "Lou" Gibson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lorin E. Riddle, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lorin Riddle as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
