SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Diana P. Southard, who passed away on February 13, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Diana Southard was born in Chicago to Peter and Josephine (Roccemele) Verciglio on September 29, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Diana Southard was a loving wife, mother, and talented hairdresser; and

WHEREAS, Diana Southard was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dominick; and

WHEREAS, Diana Southard is survived by her husband, Lonnie; her sons, Lonnie (Sherrie) and Mark (Linda) Southard; her daughter, Dana (Scott) Goddard; her grandchildren, Nichole and Rhett Morse and Victoria Southard; her great-grandson, Jax Jakupovic; her sister, Rosalie (Ray Baran) Bell; and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Diana P. Southard and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Diana Southard as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
