SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Glenn A. Waspi of Crystal Lake, who passed away on February 4, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Waspi was born in Spring Grove to John and Lydia (Andrews) Waspi on January 8, 1921; he graduated from Richmond High School in 1939; he married Regina "Butch" Karls in Spring Grove on February 23, 1941; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Waspi worked as a master mechanic for E. M. Malhan Construction in Algonquin for 45 years, retiring in 1988; he was a member of Operating Engineers Local #150; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Waspi attended St. Thomas the Apostle in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Waspi was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Regina; his son, Jeff Waspi; his sisters, Edith McDonald and Marguerite Pierce-Moore; and by his brothers, John, Fred, Paul, George, and Edward Waspi; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Waspi is survived by his sons, Michael (Janell) and Kevin (Sally) Waspi; his daughter-in-law, Sharon Waspi; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and his caregiver, Vicki; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Glenn A. Waspi, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Glenn Waspi as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
