SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Walter F. O'Grady, who passed away on January 30, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Walter O'Grady was born in Chicago to William F. and Marie L. O'Grady on December 4, 1933; and

WHEREAS, Walter O'Grady was a banker for 15 years; he also was a well-respected history teacher with McHenry County College for six years; and

WHEREAS, Walter O'Grady was involved with St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hartland as a cantor for many years; he was an avid golfer and a man of many interests; most importantly, he was a loving and devoted husband; and

WHEREAS, Walter O'Grady is survived by his wife, Margaret (Vogt) O'Grady; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Walter F. O'Grady, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Walter O'Grady as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
