SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John J. Driscoll of Fairview Heights, who
4passed away on January 7, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Driscoll was born in East St. Louis to Judge
6John Joseph and Mary Agnes (Lynch) Driscoll on April 3, 1940;
7he graduated from St. Philip's Grade School, Assumption High
8School, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville; he
9served in the United States Air Force and married Doris Thien
10on September 22, 2005; and
 
11    WHEREAS, John Driscoll served St. Clair County in the
12Probation Office; he also served on its Board of Review and as
13its Auditor; and
 
14    WHEREAS, John Driscoll belonged to many civic, social, and
15political organizations, including the Belleville Chamber of
16Commerce, the Knights of Columbus, and the Ancient Order of
17Hibernians; and
 
18    WHEREAS, John Driscoll was preceded in death by his
19parents; an infant sister, Patricia Sue Driscoll; his sister,
20Elizabeth Driscoll; his brother, Robert Driscoll; his aunts,
21Kate (Frank) Doyle, Nonie (Harry) Wall, Eileen (Robert) Hanson,

1Joanne (Charles) Schaeffer, Ginger Brummer, Helen Lynch, Peg
2(Jack) Broderick, and Mary Jane (Daniel) Mongan; and his
3brother-in-law, Robert Cadagin; and
 
4    WHEREAS, John Driscoll is survived by his wife, Doris; her
5children, Scott Rensing, and Robin (Gary) Griesbaum; her
6grandchildren, Kaela Rensing, Drake Rensing, Megan Griesbaum,
7and Tyler Griesbaum; his son, John Joseph Driscoll IV
8(Katherine Lea Morris); his grandchildren, John "JJ" Driscoll,
9Patrick Driscoll, Ryan Driscoll, and Donovan Driscoll; his
10sisters, Margaret Cadagin, Dorothy (Dr. Marion) Panepinto,
11Sister Sharon Maureen "Marilyn" Driscoll SSND, Cathy (John)
12Haunschild, Maureen (Rick) Wylie, and Sharon Miller Carney; his
13brother, Michael "Mike" Driscoll; his uncle, Paul Brummer; and
14his nieces and nephews, Colleen Cadagin, Tim Cadagin, Daniel
15Cadagin, Kevin Cadagin, Celeste Panepinto Marsh, Dr. Julie
16Panepinto Brousseau, Michele Panepinto Mannion, Ellen
17Panepinto Meyer, Stephanie Driscoll Barton, Lenny Driscoll,
18Steve Haunschild, Jennifer Haunschild Ulmer, Lori Wylie
19Carrozza, Mark Wylie, Tricia Wylie, Graham Miller, and Jesse
20Carney; therefore, be it
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
22ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
23John J. Driscoll, and extend our sincere condolences to his
24family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
