HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate James P. Antos on the occasion of his retirement as Principal of Brother Rice High School in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, James Antos has been Principal at Brother Rice High School since 1998; he joined Brother Rice in 1979 and has served the school and its students in numerous capacities, including as teacher, dean, baseball coach, and assistant principal; and

WHEREAS, Prior to his time at Brother Rice High School, James Antos worked at Queen of Peace High School from 1974 to 1979 and at Moraine Valley Community College in 1979; and

WHEREAS, James Antos graduated from St. Laurence High School in 1966 and served in the United States Army from June 1969 to December 1970; he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Education from Illinois State University (ISU) in 1973 and his Master of Arts in General Experimental Psychology with a Minor in History from ISU in 1976; and

WHEREAS, James Antos has been married to Mary since 1973; they have one son, Justin (Samantha), and a grandson, Milo; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate James P. Antos on his retirement as principal of Brother Rice High School and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to James Antos as an expression of our esteem and respect.
