HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Rick Vallejo on the occasion of his retirement from the Lincolnshire Fire Department after over 29 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Rick Vallejo joined the Lincolnshire Fire Department in March of 1989; and

WHEREAS, Rick Vallejo was instrumental in organizing Lincolnshire Firefighters Local 4224; he has been a leader to both Local 4224 and the department; he is a prime example of how to treat everyone with respect and show compassion each and every day; and

WHEREAS, Rick Vallejo has mentored every single member of the fire department and shown them all how to stay calm under pressure while delivering the highest level of service and skill possible; he has taught every fellow department member how to be better firefighter; and

WHEREAS, Rick Vallejo has left his mark on the department and the community and will now enjoy a much deserved retirement; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Rick Vallejo on his retirement from the Lincolnshire Fire Department after over 29 years of service, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Rick Vallejo as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
