HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Anthony "Tony" Yukich of Evergreen Park, on the occasion of his 100th birthday on March 17, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Yukich is affectionately known as "The Godfather" and "The Dean Martin of Evergreen Park"; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Yukich joined the United Home Owners in 1960 and has served the Village of Evergreen Park for over 52 years; he was a village trustee from 1967 to 1979; Evergreen Park dedicated "Yukich Field" in his honor; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Yukich was a loving husband to the late Fran; father to Jim, Bill, and the late Bob; father-in-law to Joyce, Janet, and Jeanne; grandfather to Tami and Mark, Jamie and Alex, Bill and Zeture, Bob and Savuth, Burt and Amy, and Mike and Matt; great-grandfather to Royce, Tyler, Morgan, Ethan, Ava, Dane, Ann, Louise, Samantha, Cameron, Courtney, Jake, and Madelyn; and companion to Ginny Wrobel; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Yukich is a friend and colleague; he always has a twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face, and an outstretched hand to help anyone in need; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Anthony "Tony" Yukich on his 100th birthday, and we wish him many more wonderful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Anthony Yukich as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
