SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ramon M. Vasquez of Rock Island, who passed away on September 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Ramon Vasquez was born in Brownsville, Texas on December 16, 1929 to Francisco and Candida (nee Medrano) Vasquez; he married Guadalupe Flores in Texas on December 1, 1951; and

WHEREAS, Ramon Vasquez was employed at the former Eagles Warehouse for over 27 years as a machine operator and in produce receiving and distribution; and

WHEREAS, Ramon Vasquez was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Milan; he loved dancing, watching western movies, and working in his yard; and

WHEREAS, Ramon Vasquez was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fernando M. Vasquez; and

WHEREAS, Ramon Vasquez is survived by his wife, Guadalupe; his sons, Oscar Vasquez and David Vasquez; his grandson, Lance (Cheryl) Vasquez; his granddaughter, Lorrie (Dale) Mickels; his 6 great-grandchildren; his sister, Juanita Garcia; many nieces and nephews; and his special buddy "Pacco" the family pet; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ramon M. Vasquez, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ramon Vasquez as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
