SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carl Leon Sutton of Silvis, who passed away on August 30, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Carl Sutton was born on January 1, 1935 in Moline; his parents were Herman and Eloise (nee Cady) Sutton; he married Wanda Bechel on August 19, 1956 in Moline; and

WHEREAS, Carl Sutton served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, Carl Sutton was employed by the former Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company for 39 years; he retired from the company as a lineman crew leader in 1995; and

WHEREAS, Carl Sutton was an avid sports fan and enjoyed flying model airplanes; and

WHEREAS, Carl Sutton was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Sutton; and

WHEREAS, Carl Sutton is survived by his wife, Wanda; 3 children and their spouses, Jeff and Ronda Sutton, Carolyn Sutton, and Barbara and Dave Archiello; 6 grandchildren; and his siblings and their spouses, Virginia and John Carlisle and Vere and Ruth Sutton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Carl Leon Sutton; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carl Sutton as an expression of our sympathy.
