SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bernadine Anna Frede of Harvard, who passed away on August 18, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Frede was born on March 14, 1923 in Peoria; her parents were Bernard and Gertrude (nee Hauk) Stalter; she married William "Bill" Dean Frede on January 22, 1949 in Norfolk, Virginia; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Frede was a homemaker; she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Police Benevolent Association in Peoria; while she lived in Peoria, she often volunteered at her church; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Frede loved to bowl and continued the sport until she was 82 years old; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Frede was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; and a sister, Edna Stalter; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Frede is survived by a daughter, Char (Dick) Hauk; 4 grandchildren, Michelle (Shawn) Krutsinger, Kelley (Ed) Zhovtis, Carrie (Ryan) Bankel, and Jason (Courtney Burman) Hauk; 5 great-grandchildren, Chloe, Jakob, Ellie, Ben, and Leo; and a brother, Norbert Stalter; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Bernadine Anna Frede; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bernadine Frede as an expression of our sympathy.
