SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Philip F. Grande of McHenry, who passed away on August 8, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Philip Grande was born in Chicago on October 12, 1947 to Dominick A. and Josephine (nee Cecala) Grande; he married Peggy Amato on July 7, 1984 at their home in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, Philip Grande was a barber most of his life; he was affectionately known as the "Mayor of Main Street", giving his personal knowledge, wisdom, and views to all; and

WHEREAS, Philip Grande was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed attending car shows; he loved Disney World and the Chicago Cubs, but foremost he loved his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Philip Grande was preceded in death by his parents, Dominick and Josephine Grande; and

WHEREAS, Philip Grande is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children, Dominick and Michelle Grande, Joe (Dorothy) Cecala, and Ray (Carolyn) Bruno; his brothers, Patrick (Cookie) Grande and Dominick (Gail) Grande; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Philip F. Grande, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Philip Grande as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
