SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Allan L. Waldschmidt of Henry, who passed away on July 31, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt was born in Peoria on October 25, 1946 to Julius H. and Doris (nee Reising) Waldschmidt; he married Vicki A. Moore on June 27, 1970 in Peoria; and

WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt farmed in the Henry area for over 45 years; he retired from the Caterpillar Tractor Company as an electrical journeyman after over 30 years; he served as a volunteer fireman for 51 years with the Henry Fire Protection District and was a Trustee for the district for 15 years; and

WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Camp Grove and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Wyoming, where he served as a Trustee; he was a precinct committeeman with the Republican Party and volunteered at the Family Resources Center, the Spring Festival of Life Auction, and The Catholic Diocese of Peoria Men's Walk; and

WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt was preceded in death by his parents; one unborn child, Mary/Joseph Waldschmidt; and his brother-in-law, Howard Shipman; and

WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt is survived by his wife, Vicki; his children, Michael (Nicci) Waldschmidt, Thomas (Toni) Waldschmidt, and Patricia Waldschmidt; his 4 grandchildren, Haley, Collin, Aaron, and Ellianna Waldschmidt; his 4 brothers, Marvin (Anita) Waldschmidt, Russell (Pat) Waldschmidt, Ernest (Pam) Waldschmidt, and Dean (Kathy) Waldschmidt; and his 2 sisters, Doreen Shipman and Julie (Bob) Read; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Allan L. Waldschmidt, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Allan Waldschmidt as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
