SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Zach Dungy, who passed away on July 21, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Zach Dungy was born on October 3, 2001 in Mount Vernon; his parents were Matthew and Andrea (nee Stewart) Dungy; and

WHEREAS, Zach Dungy loved life and lived it to the fullest; he lived by his Coach Curtis Smith's motto "Go a 110 percent and leave it on the floor"; he loved his friends, hunting, camping, fishing, and sports, especially basketball; and

WHEREAS, Zach Dungy was a member of 4-H and worked for K & S Bit; when he got home from school, he always asked where his dad was so that he could help him in the fields; and

WHEREAS, Zach Dungy was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Wesley Conner, Drennan and Genevieve Dungy, Harold and Madeline Medler, and Verl and Alice Stewart; and

WHEREAS, Zach Dungy is survived by his parents; a sister, Addie Dungy; his grandparents, Jerrel and Katie Dungy and Lloyd and Judy Stewart; a great-grandmother, Erma Lee Conner; his uncles and aunts, Joey and Rhea Eva Hutchcraft and Karen Kay Miller; his special cousins, Brent and Susan Morris; several cousins; and his many friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Zach Dungy; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Zach Dungy as an expression of our sympathy.
