SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Milton "Milt" Honel, who passed away on June 8, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Milt Honel was born in Chicago; he received his master's and doctorate degrees in education from Loyola University and Northern Illinois University; he served in the United States Army and married Rosalie Walsh on June 20, 1953; and

WHEREAS, Milt Honel worked as a principal at various elementary schools; and

WHEREAS, Milt Honel was a prominent member of the Democratic family and was a precinct committeeman for many years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Milton "Milt" Honel, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Milt Honel as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
