SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas Erdman Pearson of Colona, who passed away on July 20, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Pearson was born on June 23, 1945; his parents were Thomas and Lida (Erdman) Pearson; he grew up in Geneseo; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Pearson served his country as a member of the National Guard; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Pearson retired as a union roofer after many years of service; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Pearson enjoyed drag racing and raced his own car in Cordova for many years; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Pearson was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maureen Norris; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Pearson is survived by his siblings, Lida Paller and Silvis and Marilyn Popelier; many nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Bill Norris; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Erdman Pearson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Pearson as an expression of our sympathy.
