SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joan M. Clark of Johnsburg, who passed
4away on July 3, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joan Clark was born in Chicago on March 29, 1929
6to Martin and Margaret (nee McGeever) Quillinan; she had been a
7resident of Johnsburg since the 1960s; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Joan Clark was a mother and homemaker while her
9children were young; as they got older, she worked at the
10MarRay Costume Shop in McHenry and later at Pink Harrison's
11Resort on Pistakee Bay; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Joan Clark loved to entertain and always welcomed
13a houseful of family and friends; she served as an election
14judge for many years and was an active member of St. John The
15Baptist Catholic Church, where she acted as lector, Eucharistic
16Minister, Minister of Care, parish coordinator for Meals on
17Wheels, and founding member of St. Perigrin Cancer Support
18Group; she was also the Chairperson for their annual craft
19bazzar; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Joan Clark was preceded in death by her husband,
21John "Jack" Clark; her parents; and her brother, John "Jack"

2    WHEREAS, Joan Clark is survived by her children, Michael
3(Melody) Clark, Peg (Michael) Boro, and John Clark; her
4grandchildren, Michael David Boro, Jack Nelson Boro, Brandy
5(Doug) Bourey, and Dallas (Mandy) Rodiek; and her
6great-grandchildren, Ethan and William Ford, Alex Bourey, and
7Evey Rodiek; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Joan M. Clark, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Joan Clark as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
