SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Domenico G. Coladipietro of Joliet, who passed away on July 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Domenico Coladipietro was born in Caramanico Terme, Italy on March 16, 1935 to Nunziata and Biase Coladipietro; he emigrated to Canada and settled in Joliet, where he had resided since 1960; and

WHEREAS, Domenico Coladipietro retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after more than 30 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Domenico Coladipietro was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a founding member of the American Italian Cultural Society; he was a talented wine maker and enjoyed gardening, bocce ball, and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Domenico Coladipietro was preceded in death by his parents, and his 2 brothers, Chris (late Norma) and Antonio Coladipietro; and

WHEREAS, Domenico Coladipietro was the beloved husband of 52 years to Maria (nee D'Amico) Coladipietro; the loving father of Marco (Lynn) Coladipietro, Franco (Amy) Coladipietro, and Carla (Domenico) Fronteddu; the proud and devoted "Nonno" to Michael and Marisa Coladipietro, Alyssa and Joseph Coladipietro, and Gianna Fronteddu; the dear brother of Augusta (the late Albert) Facchini and Anna Maria (Vincenzo) Persico; also surviving are his sister-in-law, Margaret Coladipietro, and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Domenico G. Coladipietro, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Domenico Coladipietro as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
