SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Tania Lynn Toler, who passed away on June 8, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Tania Toler was born in Chicago on September 29, 1957; she was raised by her mother, Theodora "Toi", her father, Frederick Toler, and her step-father, Billy Binion; she attended Bren Mawr Elementary School and graduated from South Shore High School; she graduated from Chicago State University in 1984 with a degree in special education; and

WHEREAS, Tania Toler worked in a number of positions for Habilitative Systems, Inc., eventually joining the ARCH Program, where she spent 14 years; and

WHEREAS, Tania Toler had a passion for Christmas and single-handedly created many Christmas family traditions; she was very creative and artistic, creating numerous ceramic pieces, performing with dance groups, and displaying her artwork at local fairs; and

WHEREAS, Tania Toler was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Toler; her brother, Rodney Toler; and her grandmother, Beth Lillian Walker Anderson; and

WHEREAS, Tania Toler is survived by her son, Terry Toler (Stephanie); her grandson, Xavier Toler; her sister, Janeene Toler Greene; her uncles, Herbert Anderson and Bruce Anderson; her aunts, Myra Williams, Beverly Millison (Robert), and Lisa Anderson; her nephews, Keith and Brandon; her step-father, Billy Binion; and many other family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Tania Lynn Toler, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tania Toler as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
