SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Lee Hunter, who passed away on July 5, 2015; and

WHEREAS, John Hunter was born in Chicago on November 16, 1989 to Angela Hunter and John Davis; he attended Mahalia Jackson Elementary School and Harlan High School; and

WHEREAS, John Hunter moved to Jefferson City, Missouri in 2013 and began working at Scholastic, Inc. in the packaging department; and

WHEREAS, John Hunter was a loving son, uncle, nephew, cousin, and father to his daughter, Janyla Li Hunter; and

WHEREAS, John Hunter is survived by his mother, Angela Hunter; his father, John Davis; his daughter, Janyla Hunter; his nephew, Shawn Brown; his niece, Mercedes Hardaway; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends; and a special friend, Keyonna Warren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Lee Hunter, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Hunter as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
