SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lou Ann Ross of Carlinville, who passed away on June 9, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Lou Ross was born in Springfield on March 14, 1926 to Louis and Florence Christianson Crawford; she married Zane Ross on October 9, 1948 in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Lou Ross was a homemaker and also worked alongside her husband at the Wheeler & Ross Hardware store in Palmyra for many years; and

WHEREAS, Lou Ross was a member of Ss. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville; and

WHEREAS, Lou Ross was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Zane; and her 2 brothers, Richard and Robert Crawford; and

WHEREAS, Lou Ross is survived by her 2 daughters, Martha March (Ralph) and Marilyn Brown (Mark); her son, Stephen Ross (Nancy); her 6 grandchildren; her 11 great-grandchildren; her 2 sisters, Sister Philip Neri Crawford OP and Barbara Fox; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lou Ann Ross, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lou Ross as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
