SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jesse B. Vazquez of Montgomery, who
4passed away on January 12, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez graduated from West Aurora High
6School and attended Waubonsee Community College; he joined the
7United States Marine Corps in 1984 and was honorably discharged
8in 1988 as a Corporal; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez was highly respected as the area
10sales manager at Performance Food Group; he was also employed
11by the City of Aurora in the Youth Activity Department; he had
12over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez represented District 8 on the Kane
14County Board; while on the board, he served on the Committee of
15the Whole, the Agriculture Committee, the Energy and
16Environmental Committee, the Jobs Committee, the Legislative
17Committee, the Public Health Committee, and the Public Service
18Committee; he worked for Congressman George E. Sangmeister as
19his Aurora office manager; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez was a member of the Board of
21Directors of the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce and a

1former President of INC Boards, NFP (formerly Mental Health and
2Mental Retardation Services, Inc.); he also served on the East
3Aurora Task Force, the Montgomery Planning Commission, and the
4Fox Valley Freeway Advisory Committee; he co-founded Partners
5in Health (Companeros en Salud); and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jesse Vazquez was a member of The Roman Catholic
7Church of St. Peter in Aurora; he and his wife, Maria, have 3
8children, Eric, Michael, and Veronica; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Jesse B. Vazquez, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Jesse Vazquez as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
