SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James Michael Dinneen of Rock Island, who
4passed away on June 21, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Dinneen was born in Jefferson City, Missouri
6on August 2, 1942 to Joseph M. and Catherine (nee Langdon)
7Dinneen; he attended Sacred Heart and graduated from Alleman
8High School in 1960; he served in the United States Navy from
91961 to 1965; he married Sharon (Reed) Wells on April 16, 1996;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, James Dinneen was employed at the former
12Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric in Davenport, Iowa as a crew
13leader lineman for 38 years, retiring from Mid American Energy
14in 2005; and
 
15    WHEREAS, James Dinneen was a member of the Knights of
16Columbus; he was an avid reader and had a wonderful sense of
17humor and enjoyed the outdoors and daily walks; and
 
18    WHEREAS, James Dinneen was preceded in death by his wife of
1917 years, Sharon; his parents; and his stepson, Rick Wells; and
 
20    WHEREAS, James Dinneen is survived by his sisters, Linda

1(Will) Kenigsberg, Catherine Easley, Therese (Martin) McClurg,
2and Rita (Guy) Harper; his brothers, Joseph (Sandy) Dinneen,
3Patrick (Meiko) Dinneen, Daniel (Marilyn) Dinneen, David
4(Catherine) Dinneen, and Vincent (Ramina) Dinneen; his
5stepson, Phil (Kathy) Wells; and numerous nieces, nephews,
6aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9James Michael Dinneen, and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of James Dinneen as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
