SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frank "Eddie" Delatorre of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on June 5, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Delatorre was born in Woodstock on July 3,
61940 to Francisco "Frank" and Mary Delatorre; he served in the
7United States Navy as a Boatswains Mate, 3rd Class from 1959 to
81962 aboard the USS Durant; he married Joan Netzel in October
9of 1964; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Frank Delatorre worked as an experienced welder
11for many years, working at Binks Manufacturing, and later,
12Nissan Forklift; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frank Delatorre was an officer in the "That's The
14Way It Is" Elvis Fan Club of Chicago; he had a love for classic
15cars and trucks; he enjoyed attending local car shows and was a
16founding member of the Drag-Ons Car Club; his other hobbies
17included fishing with his friends and grandchildren, camping,
18gardening, reading newspapers, solving crossword puzzles, and
19playing the lottery; he had a love of all sports and never
20seemed to miss a Bears game, Cubs game, Blackhawks game, or
21Nascar race; he was an avid collector and had many various
22collections; he loved dogs, particularly Dalmatians, and had 4

1as pets throughout the years; he also donated regularly to
2Dalmatian Rescue; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Frank Delatorre was preceded in death by his wife
4of 46 years, Joan Delatorre; his son, Steven Delatorre; and his
5parents; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Frank Delatorre was the loving father of Laura
7(Richard) Windgassen; the dear grandfather of Megan (fiancee
8Trevor Morris) Windgassen and James Windgassen; the beloved
9brother to Michael "Mickey" (Dorothy) Delatorre and Rob
10Delatorre; the loving best friend to Ceal Fabbri; and the
11loving uncle and cousin to many; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Frank "Eddie" Delatorre, and extend our sincere condolences to
15his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Frank Delatorre as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
