SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ana D. Smith; and

WHEREAS, Ana Smith was born and raised in Colon, Republic of Panama; her parents were Eduardo and Catalina De La Espriella; and

WHEREAS, Ana Smith moved from Panama to Villa Park after marrying her husband in 1956; though Villa Park became her home, she visited her family in Panama often and was very proud to be Panamanian; and

WHEREAS, Ana Smith was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Ana Smith was the beloved wife of the late George C. Smith; the loving mother of George (Pam), Ed (Unme), and Cathie; the proud grandmother of Amanda; the loving sister of Henry, Ana Helena, Mariana, and the late Eduardo; and the loving aunt of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ana D. Smith, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ana Smith as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
