SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Danny Dale Manning of Decatur, who passed away on May 8, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Danny Manning was born in Decatur on July 9, 1949 to Arthur Wayne and Maxine (nee Edwards) Manning; he married Sally Jo Nelson on September 30, 1972; and

WHEREAS, Danny Manning was affiliated with the Argenta United Methodist Church; he was President of the Painters Local Union 288, an Executive Board Member for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Painters District Council 58, a Delegate to the Building & Construction Trades Council, and Sergeant-at-Arms for the Decatur Trades & Labor Assembly; and

WHEREAS, Danny Manning enjoyed playing cards and watching sports on TV; and

WHEREAS, Danny Manning was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry "Ike" Manning; and his brother-in-law, Max Krutsinger; and

WHEREAS, Danny Manning is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sally Jo; his daughters, Brittney Danelle (Tony) Delgado and Breean Danette Manning; his 3 grandchildren, Trinity Delgado, Dominic Delgado, and Brylee Mears; his siblings, Shirley (Richard) Wallace, Suz Krutsinger, Robert D. (Peggy) Manning, and David "Squeak" (Diana) Manning; his special nieces, nephews, and good friends; his wingman, Bill "Crackers" (Shannon) Francisco; and his good friend, Tim "Skaggs" Nugent; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Danny Dale Manning, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Danny Manning as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
