SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Paul Penn, who passed away on May 7, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Paul Penn was very passionate about and believed that all young people should have the opportunity to a quality education; to that end, he was involved with the Great Plains Life Foundation, which assists in providing college or trade school scholarships for economically disadvantaged children; and

WHEREAS, Paul Penn will be mourned and fondly remembered by his family, his friends, and the many people whose lives he touched; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Paul Penn; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Paul Penn as an expression of our sympathy.
