SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael Lee Looker of Chatham, who passed
4away on January 6, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Looker was born in Jacksonville on March
620, 1952 to Delbert Lee and Margaret Etheleen (nee Tannahill)
7Looker; he served in the United States Air Force and was
8honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1974; he married Ellen K.
9Franke on May 17, 1982; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Looker served with the United States
11Postal Service as a letter carrier for 36 years, retiring in
122014; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Michael Looker was very active in the Chatham
14community with the Jaycees for 34 years, serving as their
15treasurer; he was a coach for the YBA and was an avid golfer
16and poker player; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael Looker was preceded in death by his
18father; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Michael Looker is survived by his wife, Ellen; his
20daughters, Sarah (Lucas) Turner, Amy (Matthew) Dahlkamp, and

1Michelle Leigh Looker; his grandchildren, Brady Michael
2Turner, Livi Kathryn Turner, Addison Dorothy Turner, Tinley
3Elle Dahlkamp, and a grandson on the way; his mother, Etheleen
4Duffy; his brothers, Gary (Terri) Looker and Danny (Kelly)
5Looker; his extended family of in-laws; his aunts, uncles,
6nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends; therefore, be
7it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Michael Lee Looker, and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Michael Looker as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
