SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Grace Edith Anderson of Crystal Lake, who passed away on March 19, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Grace Anderson was born on August 28, 1925 in Oak Park; her parents were Gustaf and Esther (nee Nelson) Krantz; she married Donald M. Anderson on November 2, 1947 in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Grace Anderson and her family spent the Depression years on her grandparents' farm outside of Algonquin; later, she and her parents moved to Crystal Lake, where she attended high school and worked at the National Tea Food Store; she graduated from what is now Central High School in 1944; she later went to work at Oak Manufacturing; and

WHEREAS, Grace Anderson helped run her husband's painting and decorating business for many years; she also worked as a drive-up teller at Home State Bank for 21 years until the age of 74; and

WHEREAS, Grace Anderson was on the board of the Crystal Lake Union Cemetery Association and a member of the Mayor's committees to obtain a senior center for Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Grace Anderson attended Crystal Lake Methodist Church for over 60 years; and

WHEREAS, Grace Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Grace Anderson is survived by 2 daughters, Janet "Jan" (Joseph) Rickard and Donna (Steve) Crivello; 6 grandchildren, Stacey (Jacob) Yukna, Jerrad (Betsy) Rickard, Jeffery (Stephanie) Crivello, Jeanna (Don) Francis, Trevor (Denise) Crivello, and Jody Crivello; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella, Eli, Olivia, Gabe, Jake, Ava, Jack, Lily, Brooke, Beatrice, Milania, and Eliza; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Grace Edith Anderson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Grace Anderson as an expression of our sympathy.
