SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Carol Ann Kennebeck of Johnsburg, who
4passed away on April 13, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck was born on December 10, 1936 to
6Rudolph J. and Anna W. (nee Thier) Gamperl; she married Arthur
7F. "Bud" Kennebeck on April 23, 1955; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck served on the board and as the
9head of the public library in Johnsburg; she was also a
10librarian at Johnsburg High School for many years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck volunteered her time at sporting
12events at the high school; she enjoyed traveling around the
13United States; she especially loved spending time in Arizona
14golfing and making Navaho-inspired ceramics; most of all, she
15enjoyed singing and dancing with her husband and cooking and
16baking pastries and cakes with her granddaughters; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck was preceded in death by her
18husband, Arthur; her parents; her sons, Alan and Jeffrey
19Kennebeck; her brother, Donald Gamperl; and her sisters-in law,
20Madeline and Augusta Gamperl; and

1    WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck is survived by her children, Karen
2(Christopher) Mendoza and Scott (Doris) Kennebeck; her
3grandchildren, Angela (Richard) Kula, Nicole (Thomas)
4DeAngelis, Christina (Allen) Wagner, Michael Rigoni, and
5Melanie Kennebeck; her great-grandchildren, Ashley Lozano,
6Connor Gilley, Scott Kula, and Bailee DeAngelis; her brothers,
7Robert Gamperl and Richard Gamperl; her sister-in-law, Marilyn
8Gamperl; and her godchildren, Robert and Phillip Gamperl and
9Michelle Sutton; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Carol Ann Kennebeck, and extend our sincere condolences to her
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Carol Kennebeck as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
