SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carol Ann Kennebeck of Johnsburg, who passed away on April 13, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck was born on December 10, 1936 to Rudolph J. and Anna W. (nee Thier) Gamperl; she married Arthur F. "Bud" Kennebeck on April 23, 1955; and

WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck served on the board and as the head of the public library in Johnsburg; she was also a librarian at Johnsburg High School for many years; and

WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck volunteered her time at sporting events at the high school; she enjoyed traveling around the United States; she especially loved spending time in Arizona golfing and making Navaho-inspired ceramics; most of all, she enjoyed singing and dancing with her husband and cooking and baking pastries and cakes with her granddaughters; and

WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents; her sons, Alan and Jeffrey Kennebeck; her brother, Donald Gamperl; and her sisters-in law, Madeline and Augusta Gamperl; and

WHEREAS, Carol Kennebeck is survived by her children, Karen (Christopher) Mendoza and Scott (Doris) Kennebeck; her grandchildren, Angela (Richard) Kula, Nicole (Thomas) DeAngelis, Christina (Allen) Wagner, Michael Rigoni, and Melanie Kennebeck; her great-grandchildren, Ashley Lozano, Connor Gilley, Scott Kula, and Bailee DeAngelis; her brothers, Robert Gamperl and Richard Gamperl; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Gamperl; and her godchildren, Robert and Phillip Gamperl and Michelle Sutton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Carol Ann Kennebeck, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carol Kennebeck as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
