SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joan K. Wirtz of McHenry, who passed away on December 22, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Joan Wirtz was born on May 24, 1927 in Chicago; her parents were Harry and Monica (nee Johnston) Byrne; she married Francis H. Wirtz on September 7, 1946 at St. Bartholomew Church in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Joan Wirtz enjoyed spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Joan Wirtz was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Francis; and

WHEREAS, Joan Wirtz is survived by her children, Pat (Ann) Wirtz, Chris (Barb) Wirtz, Tony (Laurie) Wirtz, Jill (Russell) Siler, Peter Wirtz, and Jenifer (Dave) Kueffner; her grandchildren, Heather Wirtz, Gina Adams, Jessica (Tim) Justen, Jonathan (Sara) Wirtz, Nick Wirtz, April Downs, Frankie Wirtz, Steve Lewinski, Melissa Hansen, Amy Robertson, Josh (Susan) Hansen, Emily, Abby, and Eli Hansen, and Andrew (Jean), Benjamin, and Olivia Siler; her great-grandchildren, Trevor and Katelyn Wirtz, Amanda, Brody, Colby and Austin Frazier, Aidan Wirtz, Corbin Wirtz, Josiah and Bethany Hansen, Ava Streelman, Jayla Jeschke, and Gabriel Siler; and her brothers, Peter, Harry, and Michael Byrne; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Joan K. Wirtz; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joan Wirtz as an expression of our sympathy.
