SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald P. Kaiser of Woodstock, who passed away on November 28, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Donald Kaiser was born in Chicago to Paul and Catherine (O'Neill) Kaiser on August 19, 1936; he married Carole Ann McLean at Saint Juliana Church in Chicago on October 15, 1966; and

WHEREAS, Donald Kaiser served as Greenwood Township Supervisor for 29 years; he was a member of the Illinois National Guard for six years and served on the board at Helping Paws; he enjoyed keeping up with local politics and served as an election judge; and

WHEREAS, Donald Kaiser was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan; he enjoyed history, transportation museums, watching his grandchildren participate in sporting events, and nature photography; and

WHEREAS, Donald Kaiser was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Donald Kaiser is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carole Ann Kaiser; his son, Donald (Dori) Kaiser Jr.; his daughter, Cheryl (Frank) McCormick; his grandchildren, Allison and Jeffrey Kaiser; his sisters, Norene (Lee) Zulawinski, and Joyce Schoene; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donald P. Kaiser, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Kaiser as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
