| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Leroy E. Woolley of Colona, who passed | 4 | | away on December 21, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Woolley was born in Moline to Melvin and | 6 | | Irene Peters Woolley on June 5, 1932; he served in the United | 7 | | States Navy during the Korean War and married Jean Griffin at | 8 | | Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline on February 7, 1953; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Woolley worked as a truck driver and retired | 10 | | from Dohrn Transfer; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Woolley was a member of the Rock River | 12 | | Rodders Car Club and the American Legion; he was an officer at | 13 | | the Moose Lodge in Geneseo; he enjoyed camping, fishing, and | 14 | | tinkering with old cars; he was an avid gardener; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Woolley was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents, Melvin and Irene Woolley; his stepmother, Dolly | 17 | | Woolley; his sister, MaryAlice VanVooren; and his brother, | 18 | | Wayne Woolley; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Woolley is survived by his wife, Jean; his | 20 | | children, Cathy (Ken) DeBaille, Karen (Lanny) Edwards, and |
