SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Clyde H. Degeeter of Moline, who passed away on November 20, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter was born in Geneseo to August and Nora Kuhl Degeeter on February 26, 1929; he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and married Rosemarie Loete in Moline on November 28, 1953; and

WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter worked for John Deere Plow and Planter Works for 32 years; and

WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter was a bicycle rider in his younger years; he enjoyed watching NASCAR and staying up-to-date with the most current electronics and televisions; he liked tinkering with cars and gadgets, earning him the nickname "Wrench" by some of his friends; and

WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Degeeter; his daughter, Kimberly; and an infant daughter; and

WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; his daughter, Katherine (Maurice) Truster; and his grandson, Taylor Truster; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Clyde H. Degeeter, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Clyde Degeeter as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
