SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Clifford G. "Cliff" Evenson, who passed
4away on October 12, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clifford Evenson was born to Clarence and Grace
6(Hofas) Evenson in Chicago on February 25, 1923; he served in
7World War II and was honorably discharged from the United
8States Army as a Technician Fourth Grade; he married Mary
9Anderson on January 3, 1943 and they settled in Des Plaines in
10a home that he built himself; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Clifford Evenson and his wife enjoyed traveling
12around the country in their motor home; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Clifford Evenson was preceded in death by his
14parents; his stepmother, Emma (Lundberg); his wife of 65 years
15Mary; his son, Glenn; his brothers, Gale, and Clarence Jr.; and
16his sister, Kathryn (Golden); and
 
17    WHEREAS, Clifford Evenson is survived by his daughter,
18Susan (Robert) Sobanski; his daughter-in-law, Diana Evenson
19Gowdy; his grandchildren, Barbara Jackson, Brian Sobanski,
20Jason (Staci) Evenson, Jennifer (Michael) Freund, and Justin
21(Heather) Evenson; and eight great-grandchildren; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Clifford G. "Cliff" Evenson, and extend our sincere condolences
5to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
6it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Clifford Evenson as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
