SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ronald J. VanNatta of Moline, who passed
4away on October 23, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta was born on June 23, 1947 in Sioux
6City, Iowa; his parents were Dale Sauer and Betty VanNatta; he
7married Carol Brown Clevenger on April 10, 1993 in Moline; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta served in the United States Army
9from 1966 to 1968, serving mostly in Korea; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta worked at John Deere Harvester for
1130 years until his retirement in 2000; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta and his wife were members of the
13River City Riders Gold Wing motorcycle group and enjoyed many
14cross-country trips with their friends; he enjoyed Bible study
15in the Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, Calvary Chapel of
16Coolidge, Arizona, and Christ Community Church of Sun City,
17Arizona; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta was preceded in death by his
19parents and his daughter, Jana VanNatta; and

1    WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta is survived by his wife, Carol;
2his children, Michelle (Michael) Trapani, David (Anne
3Linnihan) Clevenger, and Douglas (Jenine) Clevenger; his
4grandchildren, Emma and Nicholas Trapani, Alec (Melissa)
5Abkemeier, Lauren Clevenger, and Charles Clevenger; his
6brothers, Terry VanNatta and Tim (Pat) Sauer; his
7sisters-in-law, Debbie (Russ) Jackson and Nikki Brown; his
8nephews and nieces, Darren Sauer, Bryce and Chase Jackson, Toby
9Brown, Tasha Weimer, Cindy Yount, Connie Killian, Christine
10DaVault, and Cathy Stroder; his uncle, Jack (Janis) Terrill;
11and many cousins and friends; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Ronald J. VanNatta;
15and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Ronald VanNatta as an expression of
18our sympathy.
