| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 | | learn of the death of Louis Anthony Oldani of Springfield, who | | 4 | | passed away on October 24, 2016; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, Louis Oldani was born on December 5, 1930; his | | 6 | | parents were James Louis and Valda Oldani; and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, Louis Oldani was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament | | 8 | | Grade School, Cathedral Boys High School in 1948, and St. | | 9 | | Ambrose University in 1952; and
| | 10 | | WHEREAS, Louis Oldani served as a First Lieutenant in the | | 11 | | United States Air Force as a radar observer for the F-89; he | | 12 | | was stationed in Waco, Texas, Truax Air Base in Madison, | | 13 | | Wisconsin, and Ladd Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska; he | | 14 | | also served his country proudly as a member of the 433rd | | 15 | | Fighter Squadron (Satan's Angels) during the Korean Conflict; | | 16 | | and
| | 17 | | WHEREAS, Louis Oldani retired from the Pekin Insurance | | 18 | | Company after 23 years of dedicated service as a Regional Sales | | 19 | | Manager; he obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter and Life | | 20 | | Underwriter Training Council Fellow designations while | | 21 | | employed with Pekin Insurance; and

| | 1 | | WHEREAS, Louis Oldani was an avid sports fan and a die-hard | | 2 | | Giants fan; he also enjoyed watching his granddaughters' | | 3 | | sporting events and spending time with his family; and
| | 4 | | WHEREAS, Louis Oldani was preceded in death by his parents; | | 5 | | his baby sister, Jeanette; and his sister, Norma Gvasdinskas; | | 6 | | and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, Louis Oldani is survived by his wife, Carole; his | | 8 | | son, Mark (Theresa) Oldani; his daughters, Mary Anne Oldani and | | 9 | | Jamie Oldani; his granddaughters, Maria and Gabrielle Oldani | | 10 | | and Kathryn Dresser; his brother, James Oldani; his sisters, | | 11 | | Audrey Dye and Shirley Oldani; and many nieces, nephews, and | | 12 | | cousins; therefore, be it
| | 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | | 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | | 15 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Louis Anthony Oldani; | | 16 | | and be it further
