SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harold S. Gunnerson of East Moline, who
4passed away on October 4, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Gunnerson was born on December 7, 1924 in
6Moline; his parents were Arthur and Hazel Loding Gunnerson; he
7married Betty J. Groth on December 15, 1946 in Moline; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Harold Gunnerson proudly served in the United
9States Marine Corps during World War II; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Harold Gunnerson farmed in the Alpha area in his
11younger years; he later worked in maintenance for Deere and
12Company in Moline until his retirement in 1987; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Harold Gunnerson was a member of the Thor Lodge #9
14Independent Order of Vikings in Moline; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Harold Gunnerson enjoyed woodworking and was very
16skilled with making beautiful hutches and cabinets; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Harold Gunnerson was preceded in death by his
18parents; his wife, Betty; his daughter-in-law, Vicki
19Gunnerson; and his brothers, Arthur and Dale Gunnerson; and

1    WHEREAS, Harold Gunnerson is survived by his son, Jerry
2Gunnerson; his grandson, Seth Gunnerson; his sister, Carol
3Spore; and his brother, Richard (Lovadee) Gunnerson;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Harold S. Gunnerson;
8and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Harold Gunnerson as an expression of
11our sympathy.
