SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Roberta Ingram Hughery, who passed away on September 14, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Roberta Hughery was born on February 17, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee; her parents were William H. and Bettie Beal Ingram; and

WHEREAS, Roberta Hughery worked for the Edna B. Conklin Home and the New York Times for many years until her retirement; she also enjoyed being a housewife and a wife to her loving husband; and

WHEREAS, Roberta Hughery was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Eddie Hughery; her parents; her son, Eddie Dwayne Hughery; and her brother, William W. Ingram; and

WHEREAS, Roberta Hughery is survived by her daughters, Diane Hudson and Sandra and Nicole Hughery; her brothers, Thomas James Ingram and Eddie Lee Baal; her sisters-in-law, Gladys Ingram and Minnie Tyus; her brothers-in-law, Wonderful (JT) Hughery, Willie James, and Sufford Hughery; her son-in-law, Dennis Hudson; her granddaughter, Devon Hudson Darling; her great-grandchildren, Briana and Jaylen Darling; and her adopted sons, Ricky Hyman and Johnnie Roach; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Roberta Ingram Hughery; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Roberta Hughery as an expression of our sympathy.
