SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harold Ray Fleming of Milan, who passed away on September 7, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Harold Fleming was born on February 23, 1930 in East Springfield, Ohio; his parents were Harold and Mable Markley Fleming; he married Sharon Wilson in 1990 in Geneseo; and

WHEREAS, Harold Fleming was a United States Air Force veteran; and

WHEREAS, Harold Fleming worked as a production manager and ammunitions specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years until he retired in 1985; and

WHEREAS, Harold Fleming was a member of the Milan American Legion Post 569 and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows; and

WHEREAS, Harold Fleming was preceded in death by his son, Larry Fleming, and his sisters, Ann, Sandy, Susan, and Irene; and

WHEREAS, Harold Fleming is survived by his wife, Sharon Fleming; his children and their spouses, Lorrie Jean (Dennis) Porter, Ronald Ray Fleming, Rhonda K. (Derek) Norberg, Mark David (Kaew) Fleming, and Misty Dawn (Steven) Thiltgen; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sister, Marjean Hamrick; his brothers, Charles (Edna) Fleming, Gary Fleming, and Wayne Fleming; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Harold Ray Fleming; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harold Fleming as an expression of our sympathy.
