SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel L. Hernandez of Milan, who passed away on August 31, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Hernandez was born on October 20, 1947 in Silvis; his parents were Cecil and Virginia Lopez Hernandez, Sr.; he married Jeanine Eddy on July 27, 1991 in Milan; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Hernandez was a United States Army veteran; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Hernandez worked for John Deere PDC in Milan for 30 years until his retirement in 1996; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Hernandez was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed collecting hats; he also enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Hernandez was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Hernandez is survived by his wife, Jeanine; his children, Daniel (Juanita) Hernandez, Tracy Hernandez, Danielle Hernandez (Brett Copp), Rebecca (Ryan) Aschemann, and Jeff (Jaime) Brown; 11 grandchildren; his great-grandchild; his siblings, Cecil Hernandez, Jr., Adela (Jesse) Lopez, Sr., Fredrick (Mona) Hernandez, Louis (Amy) Hernandez, Linda (Daniel) Stark, and Rose Hernandez (Armando Alvarado); his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike (Sandy) Eddy and Gary Eddy; and his mother-in-law, Frances Baines; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Daniel L. Hernandez; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Daniel Hernandez as an expression of our sympathy.
