SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rosalie W. Smith of Spring Grove, who passed away on August 18, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith was born in Chicago to William and Florence (Schwartz) Linden on June 25, 1942; she married Robert L. "Bob" Smith at St. Mary Church on May 13, 1961; and

WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith was employed as a nurse at McHenry Hospital for over 20 years; she later worked as an office manager and nurse at an allergist office in Crystal Lake for over 15 years; and

WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith was a member of St. Peter's Church of Spring Grove; she enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, and arts and crafts; and

WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kimberly Quinn; her sister, Arlene Salvatore; and her brothers-in-law, Jim Salvatore and Del Morrison; and

WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert; her sons, Bradley (Kathleen) Smith and Christopher (Diane) Smith; her grandchildren, Stephen, Kane, Colin, and Samantha; her great-grandchild, Carson; her sister, Shirley Morrison; her sister-in-law, Nancy Piccony; and her brother-in-law, Lloyd (Patti) Smith; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Rosalie W. Smith, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rosalie Smith as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
