SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John J. Huff of McHenry, who passed away on August 16, 2016; and

WHEREAS, John Huff was born in Johnsburg to Albert and Kathryn (Michels) Huff on January 13, 1938; he served in the United States Army and married Judith Stilling at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richmond on October 21, 1961; and

WHEREAS, John Huff worked for Commonwealth Edison for 34 years, where he also served as a Union Steward and Recording Secretary; most recently, he was employed at Lockers Flowers in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, John Huff volunteered as an usher at St. Patrick Catholic Church for over 50 years; he was a proud member of the Catholic Order of Foresters; and

WHEREAS, John Huff was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Kathryn; his in-laws, William and Ottilia Stilling; and his sister, Shirley (Bud) Lieser; and

WHEREAS, John Huff is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judith; his children, Jeff (Denise) Huff, John (Nancy) Huff, and Colleen (Doug) Kurzynski; his grandchildren, Josh Huff, Evan Huff, Jarrett Huff, Lindsey Huff, Katie Huff, Sam Huff, Baylee Kurzynski, John Kurzynski, and Connor Kurzynski; his sisters, Betsy (Roger) Moehling, Eileen Huff, and Jan (Terry) Tvaroh; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John J. Huff, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Huff as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
