SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John L. Fullmer Jr. of Milan, who passed away on July 29, 2016; and

WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. was born in Le Claire, Iowa to John L. Sr. and Virginia McCaulaey Fullmer on May 10, 1937; he served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he married Evelyn Muhleman Maxwell in Moline on December 12, 1997; and

WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. was employed as a supervisor at Alcoa for 32 years; and

WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. was a member of Buffalo Bill American Legion Post #347 in LeClaire, Iowa; he enjoyed bowling, playing cards, antiquing, quilting, gardening, fishing, and playing golf; he also enjoyed working on cars and drag racing in his youth; and

WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; and

WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his children, Susan Fullmer (Tom Brown) and Steven (Laura) Fullmer; his grandchildren, Jacob Fullmer, Jacob Maxwell, and Ryan Maxwell; five great-grandchildren; his stepson, Tom (Colleen) Maxwell; his brothers, William (Virginia) Fullmer and Wilford Fullmer; and numerous other siblings; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John L. Fullmer Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Fullmer Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
