SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Hans Brinnich of McHenry, who passed away on June 20, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Hans Brinnich was born in the Dauba, Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia on September 17, 1921; he served in World War II and married Ursula Witzenhauser on March 11, 1949 in Greding, Germany; he was a longtime resident of Crystal Lake and McHenry; and

WHEREAS, Hans Brinnich was known by many as the kind face behind the butcher shop counter at the local Jewel, where he worked for nearly 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Hans Brinnich and his wife enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Hans Brinnich was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ursula, and his sister, Traudel; and

WHEREAS, Hans Brinnich is survived by his children, Hans (Dana) Brinnich, Gerald Brinnich, and Peter Brinnich, and his grandchildren, Chris (Carla) Brinnich, Heidi (Shaun) Mackie, and Stephen Brinnich; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Hans Brinnich, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Hans Brinnich as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
