SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Karen Jean Weir of Wonder Lake, who
4passed away on July 23, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Karen Weir was born in Lake Forest on October 6,
61976 to Arnold "Lynn" and Sandra (Kleckner) Anderson; she
7graduated from Antioch Community High School and earned her
8bachelor's degree from Marquette University; she graduated in
92001 with her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of
10Iowa; she married Todd Weir in Lake Geneva on October 20, 2006;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Karen Weir joined Jewel-Osco as a pharmacist; she
13achieved the position of manager at the Fox Lake location for
14her entire career; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Karen Weir loved the outdoors; she enjoyed
16snowmobiling in Wisconsin and boating on Wonder Lake and other
17Illinois waterways; she could always be found four-wheeling
18with her husband; she was a devoted wife, caring sister, loving
19aunt, and thoughtful friend; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Karen Weir was preceded in death by her father;

1    WHEREAS, Karen Weir is survived by her husband; her mother,
2Sandra (Kleckner) Anderson; her in-laws, Steven and Susan Weir;
3her brother, Eric (Jennifer) Anderson; her brother-in-law,
4Nick (Melissa) Weir; her nieces, Samantha and Lillian; her
5nephews, Benjamin and Caleb; and her maternal
6grandfather-in-law, Richard Singer; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Karen Jean Weir, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Karen Weir as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
